Rejoice.

And be glad! All those frustrations, all those agitations, the nervousness, the burning, the butterflies of unease, the confusions, and the errors that manifest itself when your mind says "Get to Oakwell" and your body and personality do not follow- all of these can be washed away...

I'll admit, i get on the backs of the players, i critiscise and moan and berrate, sometimes to the brink of smashing the seat in front of me with my fist...but then i just calm down. Just that.

We all love this game, we all love the reds. But by getting on their backs, by booing and jeering - nothing good will come from it. Nothing.

Some of the performances over the past few months have been borderline terrible and vaguely pathetic. But that's where the players need us more than anything.

Get behind them, for 90 minutes out of your day, get behind your team. Or quite simply stay at home, i'm sick of hearing the moaning and whining from the so called FANS around me, if you dont want to support the lads - stay at home, dont bring your negativity to the ground and dont bring it around me, it depresses me. I dont need that on an evening after a long haul at work. Please, if not for the players - think about poor old me ;-) (tounge ploughs into cheek)

Come on, for the love of god - look back at the screen, i can see your gaze fading but listen.

This is a game, its meant to be enjoyed. I know aswell as anyone how hard it can be at times, hell ive been playing since i was 8! But look through the frustration, look through the agitation...pick out the good things that the guys do and get behind them.

If we get a corner. Cheer your hearts out!

If we get a free kick. Let them hear your support!!

When we score a goal. Roar to your hearts content!!

If Hull score. Get behind the lads, and cheer them on again!

    Is that really so hard?

There are those who are able to tear themselves away from dreams, those who even attempt to master the art of self-possession, those who fight - regardless of the level of their skill - without let or hindrance, those who throw their heart into each game, each attack, each defence - each and every minute - they are heroes to me. They are heroes. They fight. They fight fear. They fight it all the time. They fight it every day.

    They fight it.

They fight it and they win.

What they do is ****ing noble. I only wish i could be out there fighting along side them

    Fair ****ing play.

    Ever Yours

RE: Talking About A Football match..

It's two poor football sides populated in the main by average footballers who have their own interests at heart. I'm not knocking that, they have a career to progress and the days of spud murhpy are long gone.

It's beingplayed by teams at the bottom of the second tier of English football, it's importance is that it may go some way to determine who remains in that tier.

I want to see tarn remain in this division and I will cheer them on. I will also not boo them irrespective of the result as that to me is a very 'low blow'., but this is not a war so a Henry V type speech such as yours doesn't do it for me, sorry poet, nothing personal like.

As for heros, it's a term that's thrown around too easily for me and should be reserved fo Glavin, Redfearn, Wilson IF it should be attached to footballers at all.

Ps i am a mardy miserable Barsteward who will soon be changinghis name to Dave 'St Andy' Ritchie.
