He never got 20 goals in a season

As far as I remember the only two players to have managed 20 goals in a season while I've been watching are Neil Redfearn and Ronnie Glavin and they were both midfielders.

    He got close

I seem to remember him finishing top scorer 3 seasons running, whilst being the target for some on this board, pretty much typical of how Barnsley so called supporters seem to treat our better players.

The Barnsley public dont want a successful team, they'd much rather have a **** one they can whine and moan at. FACT.

I think the last striker to score 20+ goals in a season

Might be Brian Joicey in 1976/77 with 26 goals in the league & 3 in the FA Cup .
David Geddis scored over 20 goals for us , but that was split over the 1983/84 & 1984/85 seasons (something like 26 goals in about 50 appearances) .

He scored about seven goals for us that season

After signing from Darlington for £150 000 in February 1988 . All his other goals were for Darlington in the Fourth Division . The following season , he scored 16 goals in the league .
