Talking to a Forest fan yesdi

who reckons Barnsley will be the surprise package of the Championship this season!!!

He had watched us last season both against Forest and as a neutral and he reckoned last season we were scary when the strikers were on form cos of the number of chances we create.

I think he must have been taking something illegal but nice to hear that view from a none barnsley fan

 

ive said all along we will suprise quite a few teams this season,colgan speaks for himself...he mite drop 4 or 5 howlers a season but he more than makes up for it e.g cardiff!..t

he back four (hassel,reid,kay,heckingbottom) who on their day will hold any front line out.

defensive midfielder in togwell is a great signing,he can sit in front of defense and tackle/pass all day.

Howard..in my honest opinion is better than mcphail..he can takcle and score goals as well as pass

The wingers in mcindoe and devaney can create as many chances as any other wingers in this league and with hayes and richards up front,those chances will be put away more often than not

My only worry is that apart from nardiello,mcparland,austin and healy we lack any real quality back up players

But like i say i feel this could be a very suprising season, and i use the word 'suprising' positively!!!
