    If Mcburnie and Moore are paired together it will be up there with the tallest partnerships we’ve seen in terms of heights combined.

    Other tall combinations I can think of would be;

    Ferenczi and Odejayi
    Onibuje and Conlan
    Harewood and O’Grady
    Chris Wood and Gray/O’Connor

    I’d have thought Onibuje and Conlan would take it. That being said, I couldn’t think of a combination of strikers I’d least like to watch again.

    Let’s hope Moore and Mcburnie can do the business together. On paper they look a real handful.

    I can assure you they were the perfect combination. In a perfect team. Had Parker not hot injured we would have been promoted

    Aylott and Parker were two of my heroes. For me Ward and Fjortoft were easily the best. They scored goals for us at the highest level. Wish we'd started that season with them in the side.

    Yes, but Derrick wasn't particularly tall. Good striker though.

    Cunningham and Pearson must be up there then. Pearson was like a street lamp.
    Just googled Cunningham. He's now a solicitor in Lincoln. And it pains me to say it...he's 60!

    By a country mile. Wow, getting up to watch those two every Saturday turning over the best teams in Europe.

    Cunningham and Pearson were 10 years apart.

    Agree totally what you have said , they were a great double act although Ward & Fjortoft were playing at the higher level , so they just get the nod for me but I loved watching Aylott & Parker , the latter being underrated , if he had not got crocked at Hillsboro that night I am convinced we would have gone up

    If we're talking combined height, then surely any instance where we've played three up front would be the record...
    Is that being pedantic?

    Wrong. Anyone remember the old 4 2 4 formation? Or the very old 2 3 5 formation?
