Anyone think this lad would be worth a punt ala Vaz Te? Didn't seem to really do it for Middlesborough, but did manage to find the net on several occasions for them, and before joining, he had a very, very impressive goal scoring record (albeit, probably in a series of poor football leagues). He has played in Europe and has represented Estonia 59 times. Can play on the left wing or up front and has a howitzer of a left foot.

His total goalscoring record comes in at 125 goals in around 170 matches.

He's currently a free agent and I think he could be worth a trial at least?

Agree with Hill about trialists being given a full pre-season to prove themselves. Jut hope we don't get someone ready for action then another picks them off. Might as well see what he can do

Heh, I was pretty impressed with his goalscoring record at first, but looks like he has scored 77 of his 125 career goals as a sixteen year old kid in some lower league teams in Estonia. The Wikipedia article says it all:

"In 2001, Kink started his career with SC Real Tallinn, scoring 46 goals in 15 games. In 2001, Kink had a short loan with FC Viimsi, he played there 6 games, scoring 9 goals in one match against JK Sillamäe Kalev and 31 in total"

Of course his goalscoring record after that is pretty decent too, 35 goals in 80 matches in the Estonian Meistriliiga (their "Premier League") isn't too bad, and 15 goals in 40 games for Gyori in the Hungarian league sounds alright too.
So yes, he could be a decent signing and worth a trial for sure, but don't let the impressive numbers in his goalscoring record fool you. ;)
