just in case anyone else is interested in recording the commentary.... I haven't used your package because I had already downloaded OldRed's recommendation and I had invested a couple of hours in trying to get it to work for me... (this stuff doesn't come easily to me) OldRed's package is called 'Total Recorder' and it has done everything I need so far. I got a free download which puts a 'pain in the arse' noise into the recording every minute. You have to buy the package for about $20US before you can take out the noise.... but this means that you can have a good look to see if it is what you require... What I did this morning was use the scheduler in 'Total Recorder' to start recording at kickoff time. I accessed the commentary link six hours before the match and left the machine running overnight with the volume muted. At kickoff time the recording software kicked in and recorded two hours (560MB) no hitches. This morning, I got up to listen to it live (4.45am) but later, I may get an ipod-type device and transfer and listen to the matches later in the mornings. So, thanks for your help, but I have not tried too hard to make your package work. I will look at it again soon, so that I may be able to give you some feedback. thanks to you and OldRed
You're welcome, mate, but .... ... I can't take all the credit .... that goes to Computeractive .co.uk, from where you downloaded that prog from. Anytime you need owt, have a browse through, you'll more than likely find something that will do the job. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/
