23,009 is the official capacity of our ground. Today the crowd was given as 21,255. So someone tell me where the 1,754 empty spaces were when the club said we had less than a thousand left and on the day i could only see a couple of dozen empty seats.
Capacity 21800 after allowing for empty rows for health and safety - as stated by a club official on Oakwell AM.
Carefull lad, we are all looking for summat to jump on and useless posts like that are going to make you a prime target.
Here you go again! They never said it would be a capacity crowd, they said that they were close to selling all available seats taking into account segregation etc. From where I was in East upper I could tell there was an empty block in West Upper, empty seats in our end in West lower. In the North Stand the first couple of rows were empty and the seats behind the stantions. Maybe someone who was sat in the Ponty could tell us if the block at the north side in East lower was kept empty.
Well Knowles Said...... 'capacity crowd' on the official website report. I thought capacity crowd means sell out....Obviously not i guess.
RE: Are you accusing the club of doing something illegal? nt No Just wondering how it can be called a capacity crowd if it wasn't a sell out.
This might shed some light http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=57471&posts=2#M360745
I Was....... simply asking a question that others around me were thinking today. My only point is how it can be called a capacity crowd when it wasn't. So sign back up to this site and use a guys name 'babe'. Did you go today ?
Thank You Cazi....... and thank you Oakwell AM for putting us straight on something people were obviously going to wonder about.
I'm no lawyer, but '...I could only see a couple of dozen empty seats' sounds like an accusation to me.
Like I said above empty seats around the bottom of north and west stand and the empty seats in the west stand
