Hassell is our best defender Carbon went to sleep for the first, Shuker and Heckinbottom gave Trundle too much space and Colgan shouldve done better with the shot. but wouldve all be academic if Devaney had converted his 2 easy chances, and Nads shouldve given the keeper no chance with his. we've started converting wins into draws again. Huddersfield and Swansea shouldve left with nothing. over 2 legs, that wouldve cost us dear.
RE: Hassell is our best defender Thought on Setdi the 2 widemen were ineffective at best, and was far from impressed with Reid. No Hassell at the back and we react to the opposotion team rather than snuff out attacks before they become attempts on goal. That may also have summat to do with Burns jumping ship. Get Howard back in't middle an'all, pdq.
Agree with all that Reid and Carbon struggled all game, and neither seem to have the ability to read the game like Hassell. Trundle bossed them, which was to be expected, wish he played for us. Impressed by Nardiello, good man management from Ritchie imho, stop him going on loan and then show us what you can do. Howard is a must, think its time to see what this new lad can do on the right.
I just wondered............... whether Reid should have played on with the bandage-he seemed to be off the pace with it on-mild concussion ??
RE: I just wondered............... He must've been concussed at 3pm. imho Reid is one of the best we've got, but of late, I think we've looked a more solid unit without him.
