Some of them are rather attractive, the young lass that lives next door to me for example.

They'll be asking for their pensions to be diamond encrusted, to match their solid gold rocket cars and wanting their 200 days leave/shopping days increased.

Meanwhile little Johnny isn't clever enough to know the house he's trying to rob has an alarm.

    I'm wearing flares.

I'm going to light them and run into the post office for a laugh.

    Poor little Johnny

If he'd been taught something then maybe he would have stood a chance.
Instead he's neglected while we all have a bit of a strike, or an 'inset day or something' or a half term/spring break (holiday) or we all have a little bit of a rest and do some marking, or go on our jollies with a little bit of stress.
But its not our fault that Johnny can't write out his own prescription because clearly he suffers from some attention deficit disorder, the poor little mite

you want the moon on a stick. If teachers didn't want to be set on fire and punched during their working day, they should have said so at interview.

An English Trait - Damm those on strike

No other country like it, we get crapped on constantly by the Government but we have a moan and go about our daily business as usual. We love to vilify those who go on strike, like the French "look at them, on strike AGAIN, workshy etc." But fuel prices go up affecting their businesses they strike about it at get something doen about. Those plods down in London must be most amused that we never stick together rather than questioning why we continually pay more taxes but the important service institutions (Education, Care etc.) work force are not appreciated.

    Marvelous

RE: An English Trait - Damm those on strike

I'd be all for striking if they were being treated badly, under paid or getting a raw deal compared with the rest of us. But they are not. They simply have too much time on their hands to think about things like organising strikes.

    So, what's this strike about.

Not wanting to mark exams while it's sunny?

You in the teaching profession then lad?

Tell us about all the time you have off to organise strikes. How longs your working day like?
