It's going to get very confusing

with so many players having the same name.....makes it easier for printing the shirts though

Anderson wont be fit, and I doubt Muller will be either

Though it sounds more likely with Muller.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if Anderson features much before Xmas

I hope Howard stays but assuming he goes as expected I think our team for the first game will be something like

    Steele
    Foster Souza Nyatanga Kozluk
New Player New Player Leon JCR
    Macken New Player

    Subs
    Disco
    Odejayi
    New Player

    Letheren

I was assuming some pretty quick recovery times there I guess.

Point was that defensively not much to do over the summer - 6 decent players and 2 good keepers.

Midfield won't be too far off - just strikers where we have an obvious problem.

If we are going to keep one of Stan or Odejayi I would keep tha latter just for his pace and he may yet come good. Get rid of Nads, Mossto & Christensen and rebuild to play alongside Macken.

Given that we made about 1.5 from the cup run and assuming about £2k from Howard that gives us a decent pot to start with.

Will be disappointed with another last gasp survival next season to be honest.

I have a brother in law who is an Argyle fan and they achieve better results with similar sized crowds - teams like them and Burnley who we need to strive to be like in the short term......

If we do sell Howard (I really hope we don't)

I'd be very disappointed if we only got £2,000 for him.

Hope we get mote than 2K for Howard

I was thinking more along the lines of 3Million :)

Though I hope we keep him. if we do we are in decent shape midfield - To be honest if we had had a reliable strike force we would have been comfortable weeks ago, that has to be the main priority, along with proper cover for Da Silva and if Howard goes a replacement as cover for Leon

According to the physio both players will be fit for the start of the season.

    JCR Anderson Howard (new player)

    Macken (new player)

Got to keep Howard if we can. If we are gonna progress as a club we can't sell our best players. Better to keep all your best performers and add to the squad. Obviously if we need the money to add to the squad (ie non available from PC) then we will have to take a silly bid (£2-3m?). A new striker is a must, probably 2 new strikers, maybe 3. A naturally left sided midfielder, with pace. I would also like to see another CB and maybe another LB to act as competition to Koz. Ideally we could also do with another CM. Not much quality cover in that area. As long as we get the strikers sorted though I would be happy (sort of) going with the same squad as this season. Apart from the serious lack of goals from the strikers we haven't looked that far short.

most people seem happy with the defence...

Kind of agree with most of that, but defensively we have conceded a hefty 62 goals this season - about 20 more than we should have if we want to compete for a play-off spot next year. Can we really make that kind of improvement next year without purchasing?
