Lol. I remember now why I stopped coming on this web site 10 or so years ago. It hasn't changed. Three or four people with valid points, good sense of humour and/or constructive criticism. Lots more who totally over react and expect immediate success. Anyway team for JPT in mid week should (IMHO) be Townsend Bree (if fit) Cowgill Nyatanga (because I cant think of another backup central defender we could use) Templeton Harris Digby Rothwell Smith (don't like him in midfield but I cant think of another fit player who can play wide left) Maris Wilkinson
well I hope we go all the way TBH its bit of extra cash, more experience for the team and management staff.... its a day at Wembley and a very good looking trophy too... So I for one hope we go all the way.
I'd go with something similar - big game at home to Shrewsbury that we need to win on Saturday, so we need to rest some key players. With Scowen not playing today I'd stick him in and sub him off in 2nd half. Townsend Bree/ Wabs Cowgill Nyatanga Smith Harris Scowen Digby Rothwell Maris Wilkinson
Actually, we'll hopefully have a new player or two in by then with the transfer window closing. Stick a new boy in if we get a winger.
I believe you can only make a maximum of 5 changes due to FA rules about taking the competition seriously
That's quite a few changes we can make I suppose, especially seeing as Rothwell, Wilkinson and Harris (probably not 1st choice) all started. If it's 5 changes I'd go for: Davies Wabara Cowgill Nyatanga Smith Harris Digby Scowen Rothwell Maris Wilkinson
Absolutely right. We should play a side similar to the ones mentioned in this thread and rest all of our key players.
I don't see us being in the promotion shake up and wouldn't mind seeing us win sum at so I hope we take it seriously.
