I don’t think much will change after last night’s performance. Good performance. If I as you change anything it maybe just to try get Matty james In the starting line up. Maybe by pushing freezer up with Woodrow and pushing styles up. But not really needed. One thing that I will say and still stand by especially after the chances we had last night is that we still need another striker. Unreal how many chances we squandered yesterday. If we don’t take chances like that it could cost us a lot of points. On a whole though, great performance and a bit of weight off shoulders after first 3 points. Let’s hope it kick starts our season now and we build on this. UP THE REDS!

Without a doubt, they all need shooting practice and hopefully our new manager will do that.
Last nights performance was very good, showing that our team of young ones are fitter than most and need to be with the plans Ismael seems to have.
The steadying influence of James is something we havent had for a long time. His experience is going to be a great asset to bring on our many quality youngsters.

Based on who we’re playing Saturday James has to start, Styles at full back...

    Walton

    Solbauer
    Helik
    Andersen

    Brittain
    James
    Mowatt
    Styles

    Frieser
    Woodrow
    Chaplin

Subs: Collins, Odour, Halme, Palmer, Kane, Simoes, Schmidt.

*Thomas and J.Williams not fit according to Ismael.

What do you mean by pushing Frieser up with Woodrow mate? We played a front three so he was up with Woodrow?

Pushing Styles up would mean you’re playing him as the left forward in place of Chaplin, when it’s more likely he’ll find room for James by dropping Oduor and setting up as we did second half with no other changes.

I think we should try and play a 6-5-3 formation. Hope the ref doesn’t notice.

Brittain Williams Sollbauer Andersen Helik Oduor

    Mowatt James Kane Palmer Styles

    Chaplin Woodrow Frieser

Not one person above deserves to be left out. Man management is going to be very important going forward.

Chaplin looked good out wide in a front three. It's harsh on J.Williams because I can't see how he gets back in unless we have an injury or someone's form goes off a cliff. Same could be said for Herbie Kane. Nice problem to have.

Your right. I had it in my head we played freezer just behind strikers. It will probably be that styles plays wing back and James in middle. Think for the Watford game we definitely need james to start.

Good to have some options. ‘Threadbare’ was a very popular word on this forum before deadline day
