Luke Steele.

Robert Kozluk
Stephen Foster
Darren Moore
Bobby Hassell

JCR
Anderson
Hammill (or Butterfield, if there's no sign of Hammill)
Halfredsson (or Devaney, if there's no sign of Emil) **

Macken
Bogdanovic

**
If there is no sign of either of those two, and Colace is fit. Then JCR on the right, Devaney on the left, and Colace in, instead of Butterfield.

Expect to see Odejayi at some stage too. And also, Iain Hume to enter the fray with 20 minutes to go, and grab the winner with a sidewinding volley.

If Jon Macken is a regular this season; we are screwed!

Why?

His first touch and hold up play, is first class. He's good for probably, 10 goals.

Let's be honest; Hume isn't going to start for a good few games (maybe Lincoln?) and time will tell (well, the next 48 hours) whether Davey will start with Odejayi. I personally feel Macken's footballing ability to be way higher than both Odejayi and Bogdanovic. But Bogdanovic's finishing is where Macken's was, around 6 years ago. It's a tough one.

Who will start up front?

RE: Why?

He's past it now, worth bringing off the bench for the final 20 minutes but other than that i don't really see him impacting the game much.

He was our top scorer last season, which show's how bad we were! With a resounding 9 goal's!

Don't see him getting more than that this season, i'm not a fan of Odejayi either but i'd play him with Bogdanovic on Saturday to just try and bully Purse and Wood/Beever's out of the game, and hopefully set some chances up for Bogdanovic (you watch Odejayi will get the golden chance of the game now i've said that.)

I'd go with Kayo and Bogo on Sat.

Macken

Past it, cant get into the positions he should be in. 9 goals last season and he was our number 1 striker, no centre half in this league would struggle to mark him. If its Odejaye and Macken then ill be pissed off before a ball is even kicked this season.

What about Macken in a central midfield berth?

Could be a gem of a move!

All the attributes. Touch; vision; strength; passing.

Hmmm?

The team pretty much picks its self apart from upfront. Be harsh to drop Odejayi after his goal scoring form, and knowing what he's like, it'll knock his confidence again. I thought him and Macken played well together against Man City, so I'd probably go with those two and throw Bogdanovic on if we're needing a goal.

Apologies then.

I like both Davey and Macken.

Imagine an amalgamation of the two. Fascinating.

Thompson won't play.

Needs to get his work permit sorted, after we've agreed a fee with his club.

RE: Why don't you say what you think?

Kayode - 75 games 7 goals, Macken - 75 games 17 goals If we go into the season with these two as our starting strikers we may as well pack up and head for Exeter now.

Macken offers very little apart form being able to control a ball, he cant run, struggles to make into the box if we break quickly, his finishing has left him and he isn't the biggest so he is no target man.

Who would i save - neither. Davey is on his last leg now, for me he has till 24th October when we are at home to Bristol City, if its same old and we are struggling then he should walk after that game.
