Steele Hassell Foster Moore Kozluk Devaney Anderson Butterfield Campbell-Ryce Odejayi Bogdanovic Subs: Preece, Potter, Heslop, Sodje, Adam, Hume and Macken.
90% likely Has Halfredsson signed? could be announced by mid day tomorrow and he could be in the frame?
I reckon he'll play Macken As he seems obsessed with him. I agree with that team though so hopefully. Certainly if Boggo doesn't start it's bizarre, he's our one decent finisher.
Nothing official on that as far as i'm aware. Won't he need International Clearance aswell? (dunno) Which could drag the transfer on a little.
RE: I reckon he'll play Macken Odejayi's got 6 goals in pre-season, Bogdanovic has 5. He said he's going to judge the starting team in pre-season, on that basis it has to be those two up top. Bogdanovic should be the first name on the team sheet week in, week out - best finisher at the club by a long haul. Odejayi can provide the link up play (aslong as he doesn't get the killer chance of the game!) And bully the two Centre Halves and knock them about it. Macken has done nothing in pre-season to warrant to start as far as i'm concerned, well off pace and doesn't look like scoring on occasion's. How many goal's has Macken scored in pre-season? 2/3/4? (dunno)
Let's hope were right! The Chronicle seem to think that Macken will be leading the line tomorrow with either Odejayi or Bogdanovic. If that turn's out to be true it's an outrage, going against what he said by juding them in pre-season and handing his best mate a start when he's hardly warranted it. The Chronicle aren't usually far wrong either (chinny).
Davey will select on fitness to a large extent if Boggie has not made his targets, and Macken has, he'll be on the bench.
RE: What'll happen: Don't say that . Wouldn't expect it from Bogdanovic either, maybe 1 but don't see him missing 2/3 sitter's all game. Praying that the best chance of the game will fall to him and win it for us (Y).
I dunno what the fitness position is Boggie looks sharp to me and should start with Kayode The much maligned Macken is very experienced though and if fitness is a doubt for any of the above JM will give a solid performance. Macken is a last 20 minute man for me but he has won us a fair few points and should not be underestimated.
RE: I dunno what the fitness position is Don't doubt that at all. Every time Macken has been dropped he's come back with a much better performance, i.e. when Mifsud and Bogdanovic led the line last season, scored Vs. Cardiff when coming off the bench i think and didn't loose his place in the side again. With Mifsud and Bogdanovic alternating between the 2 of them. Let's hope for a same response this time round if he doesn't start tomorrow.
RE: Thing is Aye, he usually wander's in and out of games at time's and doesn't seem interested. I know it's only pre-season but at Frickley a couple week's ago Bogdanovic got 1 and had 2 disallowed and hunted down every ball. Macken was hardly involved, missed a sitter in the 2nd half from about 8 yard's and didn't look like scoring all game to be honest. It does usually give him a kick up backside when he does get dropped though.
RE: Nothing official on that as far as i'm aware. Norway is part of the EU so no once he's signed he's good to go plus with him been on loan his club pay him and we pay his club so he dont need a work permit as he's still working for the same people
