Cant argue with that. Gotta aim to rest as many key players as we can while avoiding the fines for weakened teams. I could not care less about the result, just use it as a chance to play some of the squad players

That's only Pinnock and Moncur from the starting 11 of the last game. I think we'll have a few more regulars in to satisfy the rules about fielding a "proper first team".

I might be in the minority regarding this cup, but I’d still like to see us challenge for it and play a stronger side than the one suggested by the OP.

Yes the FA have ruined this competition by making it group stages and including U23’s but winning this cup the last time brought so many wonderful memories that will live on forever.

It also didn’t hurt Bristol City when they won this cup and the league title in the same season.

Hugely disagree with U23 teams being foisted on it but we should be trying to hoover up any trophy we can, especially the ones we can realistically win. Otherwise what's the point of it all?

We should rest a couple but try to win the game. It’s a competition we can win regardless of the **** up they have made of it.

Walton will be starting next game though, and McGeehan/Bird will probably in for Dougall. So should satisfy the rules. I'd go with:

    Walton
    Williams Jackson Lindsay Williams
    Potts, Bird, McGeehan
    Isgrove, Adebayajo, Brown

I’ve just looked at group f on sky sports and we don’t appear in the group table. What’s that about?
