I'm hoping for an unchanged team. With the only exception being Winnall for Hemmings if Danny thinks he's ready to start.

Let's try and get a bit of consistency. One of the main problems for me has been the 4 or 5 changes every week, no wonder we've not been able to string 2 wins together all season.

I'd like to see Winnall start. Even if he only manages 60 minutes, he'll be running off adrenaline and will be looking to make an impact.

Hemmings can't play surely. Super Sam won't be fit enough to start either so let's not risk him. Play Waring up top with Hourihane in his proper position of just behind the front man so he has no defensive responsibility. Scowan sat deeper with Pearson.

I would like to see Jennings on the bench for Scowan. Bring him on if needed later in the game. Also I would start as we did Saturday but with Winnall coming on for last 30 mins. I don't think we need to push him too hard if we have settled for a survival position / mid table mediocracy right now. I don't mind if Lita replaces Hemmings for first 60 mins which I suspect might happen. Trouble with my selection if we give up some width. Oldham seem to create a lot through midfield play though rather than hoof ball so a tighter midfield may work and they do get the big players in the box for set pieces so I think the same defence works for us. Just need to avoid letting them run through our midfield.

I'd like to see the same with Lita or Phenix in for Hemmings. Think its too soon for Sam.

I would be surprised if we saw the same team. Danny set up to beat Port Vale. Oldham play a completely different style.

Cranie moved to centre back instead of M'Voto. Williams in at right back. Hemmings dropped for Scowen with a 5 man midfield.

There's no justification whatsoever for Hemmings retaining his place.

I'd go Lita to add the experience up front with Waring, but Sam needs to be left on the bench. This 'fit enough to bench, fit enough to start' argument doesn't stack up - we'll benefit (and he'll benefit) from a 20 minute cameo role later in the game.

Lots of games coming up, no need to rush him.

I'd be surprised, and extremely pleased, if Winnall is fit to start. But I don't see many changes from Saturday's starting line up, Scowen and/or Lita coming in possibly.

I will honestly be surprised if Winnall doesn't start

He wouldn't be on the bench if he wasn't fit enough to start

And if he tires bring him off after 60-70 minutes

Too big of a player to leave on the bench imo

I'd drop Hemmings & bring in any of Scowen, Digby, Bailey or Berry to sit alongside Pearson with Hourihane played further forward behind Waring.

Winnall can be used off the bench again, hopefully for slightly longer as he builds up his fitness.

The only other change I'd make is Williams for M'Voto & then Cranie moving to CB & Williams to RB.

Seen a few of you mention replacing Jennings with Scowen. How would that work as Scowen's apparently a defensive midfielder? Do you play him there or put Hourihane out there? Can't say I'm too keen on that. Jennings might not be playing well but I'd rather we go with lads in their natural positions than square pegs in round holes

If he's 100% fit, great. I'm with Loko on this, though. I've no doubt Sam will be chomping at the bit to start, he's simply that sort of character. But he's been out for two months with a serious injury. If we rush him back too quickly and he has a setback or reaction, we could quite easily pay the price for showing impatience. This is where the medical team's advice will be so important and must take precedence over any short term needs of the team.
