Weird team is that. Like to think Stones is being rested before the rumour mill begins. Wiseman at wing-back with Hassell in the middle I'd say. Etuhu in the midfield 3.

Sensible selection. Give a couple of fringe players a run, rest Johnny Stones.

Maybe Wiseman will do a job as wingback

That would be my guess too. Big chance for wiseman to show what he has got at wing back. Think he might be suited to it. Stones rested I presume, means nothing. Etuhu with an opportunity too in what I reckon is his best position. Sir Bob wont let us down, might gave a bet on us.

Resting Stones makes sense, and gives us an opportunity to see how his replacement (should we cash in on John) fares at RWB.

Scott's an Hull lad so he'll be up for this. Hope he has a great game.

Nice to see Bob involved, and young Oates ont bench.

    COYR!

Without knocking Scott Wiseman, this will cup-tie him. Is that a sensible move, with interest in his transfer? As regards a bit of team rotation, it is a good idea. The hard conditions can take more out of players and we do have important league games to prioritise - as much as I would love a cup run.

Good team.. Nice to see the fringe players involved and certain players rested. But why not get Silva in there as well? He must be terrible! I'm sure he didn't look that bad in pre-season tho and was on the books at Liverpool. He'll be off at end of season.

Nice to see a few players dropped to the bench and rested for the more important match on tuesday night.

I suppose that's the only logical explanation but I can't remember that being announced - aside from a minor one at the beginning of the season

Great to see wiseman getting another opportunity. Wing back is his best position and I hope he does well. He can still do a job for us and can prove his knockers wrong. With this formation I'd keep him. People need to support him. Flicker is wrong to say that we need to forgive him. He needs to forgive us .
