Anyone out there think we are light with Cranie Ramage and O Brien out. I am split on how I think it is going to go. On the one hand we could get the new players coming in and playing really well, and surprising us because they are playing to keep themselves as championship players. On the other hand they may be that much out of playing week in and out they will not be up to the job. Lets take the Leicester game out of the equation, and concentrate on the Notts win. I think it is going to be a mini survival or a complete catastrophe. As I said I am split on thoughts, but I have a leaning to the new lads doing us proud.
Will get smashed all over the shop With the feeblest back 4 in living memory, a midfield consisting of an angry Irishman and others that do not want to be here, and forwards who have to come to their own penalty box to get the ball. All looking good.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop i'm not expecting anything other than a defeat tomorrow. that's not a criticism of anyone by the way, it's just my realistic view, based on the players we have available.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop Unfortunately, that's a pretty fair assessment. With Cranie, Ramage and O'Brien in the team I still thought we were going to do it. A proper Championship standard centre half pairing and a player who will run his blood to water every game. If we could have got Hassell fit and stuck him in front of the back four I'd have been certain we could do it. Now, I just can't see it. So, with my powers of insight expect a three match winning run.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop But it'll be funny watching Big f.cking Jean kicking his own foot and falling over.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop It's 2002 all over again. Well done all at BFC for putting us into reverse.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop Looking forward to singing Micky Mellon's red and white army next season.
It was getting like a freak show the other night with the crowd laughing and jeering. Made me feel uncomfortable.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop Relegation in itself whilst a ball ache wouldn't alter my support, but a summer of short termism off the field, short contracts, loan players and the same ownership will pretty much finish me off. I can't carry on subscribing to this - it's all well and good saying 'oh but you support the club, not any individuals' well I'm sorry but the club is the owners and the direction it is going in my opinion, and also in my opinion we're going down the toilet. Happy, nay delighted to be proved wrong.
add to the that, their fans 'ole' ing us when we finally managed to keep the ball for more than 10 seconds, then 'one stephen dawson' from them when he got MOTM. not cool
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop Short term thinking RE staying up rules out any future progression. Moving from manager to manager has removed any notion of foundations for us to build on on the pitch and lack of strategy & investment off now coming to haunt us. Start again. Experience at the top in Danny. Support from Mansford. Time to develop slowly. No expectations. Step by step. Only way we can do it IMHO.
Re: Will get smashed all over the shop If we're going to do it that way then it needs communicating and the shortfall in ST sales that strategy will mean has to be budgeted for. We can't go on relying on ST sales and then ******* the season up. Eventually folk will get wise and vote with their feet (wallets)
