So where does the loss of the Critérium du Dauphiné leave their plans for the TdF?

Wiggins himself struggled in the time trial at the Tour of Switzerland. Maybe struggled is exaggerating the problem a bit, but he finished in 14th, 32 seconds down on Tony Martin who won the stage. Losing 32 seconds to Tony Martin isn't owt to worry about, but it's very unusual for a further 12 other riders to beat him.

Couldn't believe that time trial result. Given Porte had struggled in the early stages of the Criterium I was getting really giddy that Wiggins would be in the team too but that performace seemed to kill it. Hopefully he can put himself back in the frame by dominating in the mountains.

Hopefully Froome's collapse was due to his fall rather than a sudden loss of form.

At 9.4km, it was more of a prologue TT which is less suited to Wiggins than the longer distances. He could probably go at the same speed for an hour, where many of the other 12 would slow down over distance.

Poor day for Wiggins again today, looking increasingly likely we won't be seeing him in the TdF

Maybe they should look to Mikel Nieve to be their lieutenant in the tour as, in my opinion, he is a better rider than Porte and a more reliable climber.

I just hope they can turn things around for Le Tour, Sky seem to be imploding at the moment, I think they need Wiggo for his experience at the tour, lots of ex sky riders and failed signings ie the Yates bros doing well currently as well....lets hope Froomy's fall can be easily overcome, it certainly derailed him on the last 2 days at the Dauphine....Nieve shone through didn't he

    Andrew Talansky....Garmin Sharp

American, was in a good breakaway, Contador let it stretch too far and couldn't catch them, Froome faded badly and came in minuites behind, Nieve the best placed Sky rider, Yates also in the top 10

I thought Wiggins was definitely not riding?

After Wiggins suggested he wouldn't be picked Brailsford came out and said he picks the team and it hasn't been decided yet.

I think I know what his problem is - the beard! For years cyclists shaved their legs to improve their aerodynamics and now he has a big fuzzy face that must be increasing his drag by a fair few %. Shave it off and he will fly.

Aggregation of marginal gains, win it by a whisker
