With the large squad we have and which is currently being added to daily, what does that do for team spirit within the squad? There must be quite a number of them who must feel that there little chance of them getting in the matchday squad.

That is where Danny's man management skills come in. He has been there and done it many times over so not too worried.

He will also be bringing in players with the right attitude.

Also the age of the squad will help. Younger players are less demanding. It's not like we have signed players that we playing week in week out for their current clubs and suddenly find themselves on the bench every other week.

The squad hasn't really been added to as yet.All we've done is replace like for like.I still think we're a couple of players short of having a competitive squad.

From what I've seen with regards battling for eachother on the pitch, there wasn't too much team spirit anyway.

I'm hoping that rather than do anything to team spirit, these new signings give some of our players the kick up the arse they need.

Think its more in reference to the fact that we have a lob sided squad. Lots of attacking options and they cant all play every week.

No different to what other managers have to deal with though.

Time to get rid of the ' not up to it " brigade within the squad.

    This is news to me

    Goalkeepers:
    Turnbull, Davies, Dibble

    Defenders:
    Brown, Nyatanga, Cranie, M'Voto, Williams

    Midfielders
    Berry, Bailey, Hourihane, Jennings, Treacy

    Forwrds
    Winnall, Hemmings, Lita, Phenix, Lalkovic

That's 18 pro players. Just enough for the starting 11 and the 7 subs required to make the match day squad. Although Dibble is out on loan for the rest of the season so we're down to 17. Williams is still at Uni I believe, so certainly won't be available for some games while Phenix has never made a league start in his career.

Fortunately, our academy is finally producing, so the manager has been able to select a number of young players from that resource.

And we've 4 players on loan: Ramage, Kiwomya, Pearson and Wearing. Three of whom are just bairns really.

Problem this season hasn't been too many players it's been finding the numbers to make the 18. Against Donny we couldn't and only selected 6 subs.

    Maybe a few going out?

Can't see much of a future for Lita, Tracey or Hemmings, if anybody would take them of course?

We still need midfield strengthening, hope Danny is working on this.
