    Pedersen

It's only my opinion... feel free to discuss.

Strongest Defence IMHO. McCourt, Woods, Cwyka and Pedersen all deserve chance to start IMO to show us what they have got. Pedersen on paper is the best we have, full Norwegian international and highly regarded by them. He looked the real deal when he arrived, but picked up an injury and since then his opportunities have been limited. And when he did play we seemed to have resorted to long ball or played him out wide. Despite this he has still managed to score 2 goals.
In the last few games including first 20 mins yesterday we have had some well worked attacks that should have resulted in a goal. But last week COG and this week Proschwitz failed to convert those opportunities. Both in and out of form. Therefore IMO mix it up and give Pedersen a shot with Cwyka as second striker

Largely academic. They'll have a field day, whatever we go with

I'm pretty much past the point of caring. Eleven players with heart, fight and desire is needed even if we have to scrape a team together from the Academy.

On recent performances brek Shea is miles of first team... Cwyka, JOB, Woods, McCourt, RNL should all be in front of him...

Speaking of youth would be happy to see Digby, RNL and Rose involved...

I wouldn't say Woods is any nearer first team than Shea.

Defensively our problem is the two central midfielders. When Dawson came on at Millwall to help O'Brien and Frimpong out, Ramage and Cranie could defend properly without having to firefight due to being overrun in midfield.

    I'd go 532 or 451

I don't think Pederson can be played as a lone striker. He's just not suited to the role. Holding the ball up isn't one of his strengths. He needs to play off O'Grady IMO.

I'd quite like to see him get another chance but not on his own

Paddy, Jennings and 9 others who play like the care. All the loanees bar Hunt and possibly Pedersen not selected.

I disagree with that. I think Ramage cares as much as anyone from what I've seen, he's got to start.

Can't believe anyone who went yesterday would want to see either Frimpong or Kennedy play for the foreseeable future. Frimpong went straight into my top 10 ***** performances of all time and looked like he didn't give a flying ****. Kennedy targeted (again) as a weakness and fully exploited at one point late in the first half they went down his wing and past him Four times and should have scored each time. We must have someone who plays for the u21s who could do a better job.

No idea. We're so inconsistent it's impossible to pick a team you think will perform.

Proschwitz - Fantastic centre forward play at Donny. 2 goals, unlucky not to get another 2 due to a couple of brilliant saves from the 'keeper, defended from the front, chased everything down, excellent all round performance. Didn't go yesterday but he's getting proper abuse for being utter *****.

Frimpong - Probably the best defensive central midfield display in that home game v Millwall since Shez was here. Time and time again he'd break up play and come away with the ball. Not by going to ground and sliding in, but by staying on his feet and using his strength and better technique. I've heard his performance yesterday described as the worst midfield performance ever!

What do you do when the performance of our players differs so much from week to week? I don't think it matters who we play, if they're on it we'll give the opposition a game, if they're not we could well get a hammering.

Nyatanga had a decent game at LB when we played at Leeds but doesn't seem to be in contention anymore. In fairness to Kennedy he was showing signs of improvement when Danny took over.

It's gotten to the point where i can't see Kennedy being dropped again. I was very optimistic of it when he started Nyatanga instead of him against Leeds.

He was back Boxing Day :(

Yes. But he had a shocking game rather than not caring. And anyway who do you bring in for Ramage? A Nyatanga who can't stay fit? M'Voto who's out of his depth? I'd rather see Ramage play.

My view as a Barnsley fan is I expect a few hammering's a season as we're one of the poorest teams in the league in terms of ability & budget but what I don't expect is a lack of effort which we got from several players yesterday.

Ramage was also big enough to front up to the fans knowing he'd had a bad game not like most of the lads who sulked off down the tunnel without a 2nd thought for us fans who'd shelled out to watch that shambles.

I'd probably play Nyatanga to be honest. He will still be here next season when Ramage is long gone. I'd rather play Paddy at centre half than M'Voto though to be fair.

I agree about the lack of effort yesterday any team can have a mate but you make up for it by showing you gave a toss. I lost count of the number of times Frimpong lost the ball and then didn't even reach ambling pace tote back.
