Turnbull Hollgate, Ramage, Nyatanga, Smith Pearson Scowen Kiwomya Hourihane Big Fat Jennings Winnall If that team can't piss this division there's something wrong
some of them will never be fit ... Jennings ... & Ramage may need a rest from time to time to time, just cause he throws his body in the way of everything in theory it IS a very good team ... but very good teams go down sometimes (like Wigan, when they won the cup).... it needs to prove itself before the end of the season & we need to be above 18th place for me, otherwise I might agree it's time for a change
Once we get key players back, and hopefully some reinforcements (midfield) we'll be comfortable in mid table.
Turnbull Holgate Ramage Nyatanga Smith Pearson Scowen Lalkovic Hourihane Jennings Winnall This depends on Jennings being arsed (if he's not, we need another winger anyway) and Scowen being decent. I'd be tempted to give Bailey or Digby a go next to Scowen if he gets enough of a foot in. Can't stand center backs at full back - get people playing in their proper positions
I agree with the last points made that players need to be played in their best position. Holgate is a centre-back and will eventually be good cover for Ramage; Williams looks strong at RB and will get stronger with increased match fitness.
I can't put Scowen in my team because I've not seen him play. Right now I'd go: Turnbull Holgate Ramage Cranie Nyatanga Bree Bailey Pearson Jennings Hourihane Winnall I'm not putting Lalkovic or Kiwomya in either as I've not seen anything from them yet.
Turnbull Bree / Holgate - Ramage - Cranie - Nyatanga Berry / Scowen - Pearson - Hourihane Kiwomya - Winnall - Llakovic
Who else to put there though? He looks comfortable. I hope Williams does well but I think Holgate is rightfully higher up the pecking order. Holgate>Cranie as he seems to actually care
I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just highlighting the fact you cant stand center backs at full back but put Holgate there. For me he has been excellent. A bit naive but that's to be expected. John Stones was exactly the same, but the youngsters have to learn and there's no better way than games under the belts. I'd like to see him phased into the CB position as the season goes on and hopefully leading the first name on the team sheet next season as our main CB.
