someone has just fired up a wireless network nearby using the same channel as we are on I think, and its screwing up our wireless networking. Simple enough to change the channel we are on but there are 4 networks in range and I cant see how I can find out the channel they are using. (I'm sure my old laptop had software that allowed you to find out about the other networks - but the new one using microsofts (grrr!) wireless network only gives the option of connect.) - any ideas how I find out what channel the others are using so I dont cause a conflict when I change ours?
Did the trick Trouble is whoever is using the new toy keeps changing the channel he is trying to use. Think I'll stay wired this aft and see what he settles on and change it tomorrow.
