basically I want my internet radio (using the Reciva system) to be able to play my computers music files. Beyond enabling sharing in Windows Media Player I really don't have a clue how to make this work.

    no-one knows then?

I have since managed to get a shared folder in "my computer" and set this to be shared over the network but still no luck.

    any ideas folks?

    RE: no-one knows then?

been messing about creating sharing files and home networks all day and I can now see a workgroup called MSHOME with only my computer in it, and as there is only one wireless router which my internet radio is obviously connected to as it is currently churning out talksport, it should be able to use it's Windows share function, but still says no PC's found having done a search.

the damn things nearly been out the window a couple of times very frustrating

Why do you want to use a radio player?

Cant you use Windows Media Player, or VLC media player or any of the other hundreds of different media players around

I use media player or real as an internet radio player. Never heard of the one you are using - whats its advantage?

RE: Why do you want to use a radio player?

the player was given to me, I don't think I would have bought it myself.

I suppose the advantage is not having to turn on the computer everytime you want to get digital quality radio, or being able to get it in a room without a computer if you have a wireless router it's just the same as having a DAB radio.

the radios are actually made by big electronics companies, the Reciva thing is the network they connect to, they all have pretty much the same interface and menu system, it's just the case that's different for each company.
