Well ijn that case , it looks like the S video route is the way to go, but get the best quality cables and connectors you can afford, Gold plated ones are worth the cash.
Just looking through a few forums, basically want to be able to watch streams from firstrowsports.eu on my telly instead of the laptop. I've got a Raspberry Pi & that's looking like an option & maybe even the PS3
So then, I now have a vga cable connecting my laptop to my tv, trouble is now the display is not central. The desktop is "shifted" approximately 5 inch to the right so down the left hand side of my dislay is a thick black band, it's also about 1/4 inch up as well. Any ideas?
A vga to vgs cable or a hdmi if your laptop/tvs set up for it. Youll also need a sound cable to run from your laptop to tv. usually one plugs into headphone socket and two plugs into tv. Set my husbands up for Bristol city game and it worked!!!
Thank you, I've sorted it now, got my old desktop pc that I don't use anymore, plugged vga cable in & it worked without adjustment. Sound is through my PC speakers & all is working well.
i dug an ancient laptop out other day where screen had conked out, found a rgb cable, nicked kids telly for my bedroom, installed $ky on it n bobs ya uncle, also works a treat for films on my usual laptop if you share em on the network. still unplugged the tw@t when england getting hammered, beats waking up at 2am on the sofa!
