how do i change a AVI file to something playable of a dvd player

import it into windows movie maker and then publish it to DVD thus burning it onto the dvd disk to play

 

you need to get a converter mate. U can buy one or download one from any torrent site just type "AVI to DVD converter". If you download it they will normally come with a key generator so U wont have to pay to unlock all the features (did I say that.......)
Dont download a trail from a website cos if U do when U convert the fil it burn with a water mark across the picture!!!

 

how do i publish it to the disk S)

 

just click publish and select DVD

 

i cant see publish anywhere... maybe im just blind :S v got a media player n right.. all the usual things along the top... file/edit/view/tools/clip/play/help and movie tasks down the left... with the item in the middle im wanting to put onto disc... CONFUSED AS S**T

try going File>Publish Movie>DVD

and follow the instructions from there that pop up
