Tech question DVD player

bought a basic DVD player, Panasonic S500. It came with an audio/video cable (red/yellow/white) do I only need these or do I also need a Scart cable too, or is it either or.

 

does your TV have the inputs for the cable you have?

 

As long as your TV takes those cables (S-video) then that’s all you’ll need.

 

What you need depends on what you are connecting it to.

 

there are inputs but they appear to be red and 2 white.... will a scart do the job alone as I have one of those.

A scart cable can do both video and audio, so normally just that one should do it.

Hasn't it got an HDMI output to the TV? Or did you steal it from a museum?
