Technical advise please....

    Does anyone know how I can solve the following problem (other that buying Sky and watching it as it happens!)

    My mate records me the new series of 24 and then sticks them on a disc to watch. But when he sent the last lot he forgot to finalise the disc so I'm unable to watch it on any other machine than the one he recorded it on. He lives bloody miles away, so going around to his to watch it isn't an option!! Is their anything I can download of internet etc, programs, etc?

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I have a feeling ISObuster will extract the data from an unfinalised disk but couldn't be sure.
    Other than that, you're down to downloading them yourself from less-than-legal sources.

    2 possibilities I can think of

    Send him the disk back and ask him to put it back in his DVD writer he used and finalise it - then send it back

    or

    Find out what make of writer he used - see if you can find anyone with one of the same make who can finalise it for you
