    Depends on whether your laptop has a TV out

    If it has Maplin or PC world will have a suitable cable - if it hasnt you cant do it

    Don't think he was winding you up, there's just so many different holes in the back of computers that if you've never needed to use them before then its not easy to tell what they do.

    I had no idea how to describe it either so thought google was the way to go lol
