Techy help required RE Wireless Broadband

    My mate has a spare Netgear Wireless Modem that he got sent from Telewest. He's offered me it but i am with BT. Can i use a Cable modem with an ADSL connection???

    Any help appreciated!!

    No.

    A cable modem is totally different to an ADSL modem.

    It's a bit like asking if a gas cooker is the same as an electric one. They do the same thing - thats about it!

    does he fancy selling it? can't get a dsl wireless unit for love nor money in brum, pc world etc all out of stock...
