Does anyone know how to turn off the chuffing shortcut menu thing that comes up when using the touchpad on a Toshiba laptop? I've checked the settings and Im buggered if I can find out where you turn them off. It's doing my nut in and I'm close to chucking the chuffing thing through the window! Arghhhhhhhhhhh

There's a load of settings under "tapping" in advanced on mine that let you configure whether the advanced touchpad options work. Mine does different stuff to that but you can configure what happens when you tap in each of the "hot zones" or something like that, in the corners of the touchpad. It's all in a tab on the right of the "mouse" config dialog in control panel on mine.

Thanks, normally use a usb mouse, but it broke

I was trying to see if I could cope without one - the answer is a definite NO! Thanks Burgundy, I think you're right about the tapping settings as I've turned them off and it seems ok. Still, I've borrowed a usb mouse from work until mine arrives. No more touchpad for me - hooray!
