    very straightforwards

Usually done if either you have problems with your gums or have scale and tartar building up

dentist or hygenist uses a combination of some ultrasonic cleaner and more brute force methods with tools to get between teeth to give the teeth and gums a good clean depending of state of your teeth and gums it can be a little unpleasant occasionally but nothing painful. Polishing is a piece of cake - just rub polish onto your teeth with a rotating brush nothing to that.

Sure Revvie P can give a better answer of whats involved but thats my experience - oh followed by a good nagging about if you dont improve your flossing technique all your teeth will fall out

    Pretty much covers it Farnham

Cost on the NHS is £16.20 now for an examination, inclusive of any necessary x-rays and any necessary cleaning and polishing.

RE: If you have an NHS dentist abart £13

My mate went for a check up the other day, got his teeth cleaned and polished (not his choice though) and I think it all cost around £50 - he's not on the NHS - so private will cost you a fair bit more
