    You can boot one into FireWire mode which allows you to mount its hard drive on the others desktop.

    Not sure - I used to use the firewire cable between macs to create drive images of others macs at work. Got shut of macs since, been all PC for a number of years.

    Can you remember on Ghostbusters how they tell you not to cross the streams as it would be "end of the world bad"? - it might just be similar if you mess around with firewire :)
