    Martin Scott. Me and my Boro mate were at the exec reception on Saturday midday and Martin (in BFC training kit) was talking to Eric Gates very excitedly about his new job at Barnsley, how well we're doing, how fantastic the club and players are etc. Doesn't know it's a Barnsley fan ear-wigging, then as he passes I just tell him they are doing a fantastic job and it's a good time to be a Barnsley fan, then he had a laugh at being rumbled and gave a little man-hug.

    I don't think he's gay though, before anyone asks.

    Good to hear that, Mr C, because he does seem to stay in the background at matches and we don't get to hear too much about him.

    By the way, weren't you applying for jobs? Or am I totally out of date?

    The club didn't even respond to my application unfortunately. I'm not begrudging Flitcroft his chance though, he's doing okay.

    Yep, that's right Hemsie. He knew a lot of people around the club and was very excited to be back with the Reds. And we won.
