You feckin Barstewards site admin! Here's a 2nd attempt! Well I thought about just letting this momentous occasion pass by, after all it's just another posting, it wouldn't be what it is without all the others. I'd like to thank all those people that have started threads that I have responded to, as I've usually responded to threads rather than start new threads - mainly because I'm being pedantic to someone else's post, yes I know you'll find that hard to believe! I'm sure the majority of those posts have been in response to Roundsman and his various conspiracy theories, or a few others where it's often like banging your head against a brick wall. Also I've met a few people who post here (and on the old boards) and without exception all those I have met have been friendly and a genuine, decent bunch of people (even Windy!) But as this is a BFC website, it wouldn't be the same without the wide variety of other subjects though, I guess it's only fitting it should be on the subject of the club that essentially we all feel the same about, even though reading through this board at times you wouldn't think so! Only the most optimistic of reds fans would realistically have expected anything more than a relegation battle this season, and should we finish 4th bottom (or hopefully higher) then it will be mission accomplished. Whatever the reasons for our current position, one thing is undeniable and that is we are seeing the best football at Oakwell for at least 6 seasons and maybe even the best since the heady days of 1997. We do need some new faces on the playing staff and I'm sure that both Messrs. Shepherd and Ritchie also realise this and are constantly on the look out for the players that can do the job and improve the squad albeit within the limited confines of our budget, but that must not be at the expense of destabilising the future of the club. Whilst I don't want to see the club relegated it wouldn't be the end of the world, we'd still have a club, Saturdays in the season would still consist of going to games at Oakwell and away (or more likely checking on here to see how we were doing away). P.s. 10,000 posts in 485 days - an average of 20.62 posts per day, doesn't sound so bad now, although that doesn't take into account the times when I was on holiday and not posting! Edit - I don't even get a new star, just a 2nd 5000 one! Further Edit - Just as well I composed the message in outlook first and it was still in my deleted folder!
Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe I had nothing to do with it honest.
and neither did cazi.
