Turns out 10 of then are children. Suddenly even more horrible?

I don't mean this to be heartless or anything but why is it suddenly even worse because some of them happen to be children? Genuine question

Are you a parent? To be honest, I never quite grasped it until my daughter was born. My mum always told me that once you have a child of your own, your only fear in life is something might happen to him or her. It's completely true.

No I'm not. I have young relatives who I love and I do understand it kind of. I mean I do understand that it IS worse and it feels worse but I just don't understand why.

I can't quite put my finger on it. I consider that there aren't many situations life might throw at me that I couldn't deal with. But the loss of a child? I genuinely can't imagine how any parent can ever function again when that happens.

    With you there
Once you have a child suddenly there is someone in the world that is more important than yourself
    Which is scary
When something happens to a child you then put yourself in the shoes of the parent - and it goes through you and fills you with dread

That picture with the dead girl is horrendous.

We really need to crack down and stop repeating the lie about Islam being the religion of peace.

I've read about a third of the Koran and lost count of the number of times it said "kill the unbelievers".

It's no wonder there are so many attacks.

Because whilst I'm sure all 80 victims are innocent you can't legislate for taking the life of true innocence before they've even reached an age to comprehend what evil there is in the world willing to take their lives.

I didn't understand the love of children fully until I had my son. I always thought my love for my wife and parents was as strong as a love can be. I was very wrong. Every day since his birth I have felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility and love that I didn't believe existed. The thought I've brought him into a world where such evil exists sickens me sometimes, but my job is to protect him from it, and raise him to show compassion, decency and understand the importance of peace and humanity to all.

You genuinely dont understand why the brutal murder of children is even more horrible than the brutal murder of adults? Do you understand why the rape of a child is more horrible than the the rape of an adult? Do you understand why punching a child in the face is more horrible than punching an adult in the face?

If you genuinely dont get it, then fair enough, but the mind boggles if so.
