GET IN Still could be off in Jan on current form. But at least we could get a reasonable fee if he goes.
Great news Shows the sort of passion for the club during a game that only comes, according to some, from local lads.
Didn't rate him when he first arrived I thought he did too many tricks and there was no end product. But he gradually changed my mind as his performances improved. Now I think he's excellent and his work rate is absolutely phenomenal. There's still scope for improvement as far as crossing is concerned, but he strikes me as the kind of player who wants to develop as a player and strives to get better. Excellent news

I tend not to read anything into contract extensions these days, not worth the paper they're written on tbh.
The player will appreciate the presumed additional wages and longer-term security but will also use these as a starting point on a future move. The publicity he gets from this being splashed about SKY, the papers etc will also make interestedparties sit up.
From the Clubs' point of view, thenumber of years left on the contract and value of that contract help determine any transfer fee - that's the cold reality of professional football post-Bosman.
Cynical me? Never!

This is Barnsley!
Nobody has wanted one of our contracted players for what, 10 years!?
Not including Howard, who lets face it was pretty much out ofcontract

Oi you! Nick off! We can do our own cynicism just fine thank you - have you not been reading this board all this time!
RE: Great news Davey had to tell him what to say. he's a Southerner, can't possibly be passionate about this club.
Really surprised at that When he came, I thought he'd be off as soon as his contract expired. I thought he left Rotherham because he "didn't like it up north". Maybe his views have changed, despite his jest the other week?
RE: To be fair Ah but always listed as one of the many foreigners we have signed when someone wants a pop at Davey. You are absolutely right though.
Nearly Was going to point to a certain predominantly left-footed midfielder who now plays in Wales but realised he was out of contract.
I say predominantly because he actually used his right foot quite effectively last saturday against Charlton when tying his bootlace.
