"That will do him more good than any surgery or treatment ever could"

That was after I'd rung him on his mobile and given him a full volume rendition of THE REDS ARE GOING UP. I was so scared that they might not go up that I tried to kid myself that it didn't matter. Well if it didn't matter why was I blubbin like a bairn at the end of the shoot out?Going in hossie on Tuesday for an operation on Wednesday, and this has given me in indescribable boost ahead of that. Well done to everybody connected with BFC. I've waited for 43 years to see our captain lift a trophy, and what a brilliant way to achieve it. It was gut wrenching heart stopping stuff, but finally, once and for all, we got that bit of luck that has deserted us so many times. Safe journey home to all the fans, and well done to Andy and the boys. Chest swelling with pride I am going for my usual Saturday night tipple before I collect my take away. All the regulars know about me and BFC, and I live in the village where Rick Holden was born, and a lot of his mates drink in my local. They will be over the moon tonight - he is a very popular lad around here. So there is an outpost of BFC supporters in Skipton celebrating the win today. THE REDS ARE GOING UP THE REDS ARE GOING UP YES NOW YOU'D BETTER BELIEVE US YES NOW YOU'D BETTER BELIEVE US YES NOW YOU'D BETTER BELIEVE US THE REDS ARE GOING UP. GERRINTHEER!!!!!!!!
