TFP sets himself alight after bullying

A 36-year-old man is critically ill after setting himself on fire and severely burning most of his body.
Police said the man known as 'The Full Ponty', of Spackmoid Terrace, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, doused himself with petrol after being bullied on an internet forum about his weight.

He is being treated in Barnsley General Distric Hospital suffering from 80% burns to his body.

He was seen attempting to run from his home into the street in the early hours of last Saturday tearing at his clothes.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called to an address in Barnsley where a man had set himself on fire.

"An ambulance had been called and the injured man told police he had been bullied on the internet."
