Following on my original thread re Policing at Chesterfield.

As an SLO i thank the literally thousands of you who read social media sites, BBS , Twitter and Supporters Trust sites after Saturday's game.

Even bigger thanks to those who took the time out to advise me of their recollection of events, via the BBS and the other sites, including slo@barnsleyfc.co.uk which is the preferred site, for fan complaints/ query's regarding BFC.

I did speak to Ben Mansford over the weekend and we met at the club this morning.

We are in the process of collating the information gathered and will then liaise with the various agencies involved ie. Chesterfield FC, Police, Safety officers, Stewarding and the FSF. As you will appreciate i would expect that our findings will not be available for 7/10 days and ask for your patience.

In addition some fans have written direct / phoned Derbyshire Police and subject to their agreement, i will also advise the result of their complaints.

I look forward to seeing many of you reds fans at S****horpe tomorrow night and ask that any fans who may have other motives to consider staying away. YOU REDS

Good work. Glad to see its being dealt with in the correct way.

Let's hope any genuine police complaints are upheld and action taken against offending officers. And any Barnsley fans who broke the law or instigated trouble are banned from attending games in the future and face criminal prosecution.

I haven't had a pm but its basically this thread http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?226208-Supporter-Liaison&p=1664019#post1664019
Where Sarah asked for questions and promised an update. Even after the meeting she made another post promising the update (which nulifies the idea that the police ordered no report to be given) but as of yet there has been no sight of it

I went to the Chesterfield game but felt that for my own safety to leave at half time. I was receiving verbal threats from our fans. I was unable to use the gang ways as they were full of fans who did not want to sit in the seats they had bought. I approached the stewards about the safety aspect and her reply was that she was not going to deal with it as she could get hurt. She also said I could only get hurt if I threw myself down the stairs. I ask to see the police lady behind her and explained that we were getting jumped on and pushed around and also the safety aspect. Her reply was that she was unable to do anything unless the stewards were unable to deal with the situation. ( they had not even tried) I was not the first to share my concern for safety on this day. I have emailed Chesterfield f. But have not received a reply as of yet. This experience has really put me off going to away games due to feeling so unsafe. I am a little apprehensive about going tonight. My wish is for the ones who want to make it unsafe for others to not be sold tickets by the club and for stewards and police to safeguard us as fans.
