And there was me thinking cup results counted for nothing with barnsley fans, an FA cup semi meant nothing!!!!

Two cup results kept Davey in a job for far too long...

It's not really about the Carling Cup though is it .........

......... it's about Mark Robins, he's done a fantastic job in just under two weeks, too soon to get carried away with it all but what a difference he has made to a team that looked dead, buried and doomed for League One after the Reading match, even the most dedicated 'Daveyites' would be foolish not to admit that Robins has had a major impact in such a short space of time

Mark Robins comes accross as his own man in interviews..

He has the team playing with belief and pride..

And took 45 minutes to realise Oddjob wasnt good enough...

Well done Pat Cryne and co for actively seeking their man..

Agree with that - and I'm more relieved that he seems to be allowed to sort out the back room and anciliary football staff as he sees fit, and isn't being made to work within the same set up as Davey.

Absolutely but from what I've seen and heard from him ........

........ so far, he wouldn't have accepted the job under any other terms, seems to be a strong character, very impressed with him so far, long may it continue

That's what surprised me - that the Don & Barry show would appoint a bloke like that. All looks promising at the mo.

Davey should have been given the boot soon after Wembley

like we did when Bassett took us to Wembley and Ritchie to the Millenium!

    You mean...

You haven't got it in yourself to praise the bloke because of your loyalty to Simon Davey?

And as soon as he cocks up, you're go to throw the Kitchen sink at him?
