I'm resting at home to let the infection in my knee settle before having to go back in for an operation to have the pins taken out in a couple of weeks time. No specific date given, was told maybe third week in December, but will be before Christmas. I'm still in pain and feeling miserable but there were lots of children in a worse state than me in hospital. Some had been in weeks and were due to stay in a while longer. Still can't walk properly without leaning on someone and climbing stairs is done when necessary, but I'm determined to carry on as normal.
Anything we can do to cheer you up? It must be bad if you are feeling miserable as you definitely aren't one to complain !! Hope the infection goes quickly By the way cant your Dad carry you up and down stairs when needed?
Dad's moaning as he's had to go to work on 12 hour nights. He was going to take today off to chill out after the last couple of days but was phoned earlier to say someone else had phoned in sick and they had no cover so would he go in and could he work over? Let's say he's not happy! I'll be ok, think it's just a combination of being in pain and knowing I should be relaxed about next week but instead I'm just not physically or mentally prepared for the exams. My teachers and parents keep telling me not to worry as the exams are mocks but I still don't want to fail.
Glad your home, hope you get sorted for christmas.
And by the way this bit: "Still can't walk properly without leaning on someone and climbing stairs is done when necessary" Are you talking about yourself or your dad after more than a few bevvies.
Get well soon.
