Selling our player of the year for a measly little profit. You was stupid for letting him have the clause, stupid for letting him go out on loan and not make them wait, and stupid for thinking we can get a replacement half as good for the same amount of money you have probably got for him.
and shep would be daft to tell teh world how much is in the war chest after the sale, far better to let the agents guess come january.
It does beg the question tho.............why should anybody sign players with get out clauses ??? We have lost a premeirship quality player (Wolves words, not mine) because a proper deal wasn't struck In saying that, I am pleased he left on those terms instead of being auctioned to raise money to buy other players Probably the best of two evils
All This..... "no clause no player" talk is wrong. You reckon he would have stayed playing at Belle Vue in league one then join us ? Come on we gave in to the clause too soon.
They normally insert a sum which the other team have to offer before the clause is triggered. Small profit, small clause.
RE: Oh, and I nearly forgot Player of the year, you having a laugh. Don’t think I’ve seen much to suggest that apart from the occasional good ball into the box. He’s a good player but I’m sure with Gords alledged coin I’m sure someone who could improve us can come in on the left. Leon Knight Knight Knight!!!
RE: Oh, and I nearly forgot He is a contender for player of the year. He made a decent impression on our team.
Dreamboy I have a spare stamp at home.. Perhaps you could write what you actually know about football on the back of that.
Never said that.. But you seem to be spouting more B*ll*cks than usual today. Like most people you are in the dark about what is actually going off at the reds, and if the club thoughht that McIndoe would be the right player for the club then they would sign him. Perhaps the clause is reflected in the relatively low price for a player who many acknowledge had been one of the best in league one for two seasons. Unfortunately the game is full of parasites and vultures who take a lot out of the game without giving any back. Can't you see the hand of agents in all this, and likes been said before McIndoe used us as a stepping stone and I think the club are amazed at how quickly he wanted to move on. I feel that the worst the Board have been guilty of is in trusting a player who is very talented but does not have any loyalty or backbone.
