Simon Davey will go down in history as the manager that took Barnsley FC to the FA Cup semi fianl at Wembley. We won't forget that cup run for many many years.

But now it is time for a change. The run of defeats and the failure to improve or show signs of improvement could not go on. Well done Mr Cryne for making the correct decision.

I'll echo that. I'll never doubt SD's commitment or effort, but the problem was obvious to me.

He had no clue when it came to man management and motivation. Getting players fired up to play Liverpool and Chelsea is hardly tough. The league results show the truth.

Money spent, many players in, allegedly a much more competitive and stronger squad. But absolutely no improvement.
