You mean Delph? Met him tonight, he was chatting to some Leeds fans so I interrupted and told him to leave and sign for a decent club
RE: Am I missing something? Sorry, it was just to confirm who he was, as I wasn't sure if I had got his name right....................whatever, very over rated IMHO.
fabian delph. yeah my mate rates him but I couldnt see what hes supposed to do. he did nothing against millwall on thursday night
I tell you what The lad who scored for Milwall (Abdue or something) was absolutely brilliant. If that's how he plays every week then I'd rather have him. He covered every blade of grass the other night
We can't really tell from watching a few games He must be some good cos i've heard all the top teams are looking at him, so over the season he must have been some good.
Watched him a fair bit on tv There is no doubt that he does possess exceptional skills for a youngster. However, I have the following reservations: 1) He has not been able to live with the pressure of his new-found reputation, which is a reason that he does stupid tackles like the one v Millwall and gets cards; 2) He rarely influences the outcome of a match - how many recent 'assists' have led to goals? How many times does he get in a telling final pass? Less and less, it seems to me. I don't think that he is over-rated, because he does have skills which mark him out at a level well above league one and, probably, above championship as well. I just think he has been 'amped up' a bit too much too early in his career. I would think that he should be looking for a move to a premiership club, if it is still on, especially one with a good reputation of bringing on youngsters. Arsenal were said to be interested and that would be the perfect move for him - a chance to hone his skills; to play with top class players; to take the pressure of him of being a big fish in a small pool at Leeds. Another season in league one could see him develop a worse disciplinary record and sink to a lower level of performance in the league one mire. Get a move now, Fabian!
