Abysmal - zero attempt to take the ball, just went for his legs. Hammill did well to temper his reaction.

    Red card all day long.

Rightly or wrongly, the 'hack' seems to be treated more leniently that the 'lunge'.

If it had been a Barnsley player

It looked an appalling, cynical challenge. The ref had just missed one a couple of seconds before, too. Should have been a straight red for violent play. If Hammill had stayed down and rolled round a bit it might have been, but it's bad when players have to act up to get the ref to apply the rules. Very poor refereeing - yet again.

Good point. The way he leapt up told the ref he wasn't hurt. He stays down and the ref may have considered his options.

must have had about five of those in the first leg against Fleetwood. It seems Hacking and shirt pulling is at the very most a free kick in this league.

Leicester player got sent off today for pulling a player by the hand, in our league you got to pull his fecking shirt off his back to give a free kick away.

No protection what so ever for the flair players in league 1
