Would make sense - as he seemed to go out of his way to let MacLean in for the 3rd! (and was in dreamland for other 2)
Good player for us this season, but he had a howler yesterday.

    Austin was worse than both

he was nowhere to be seen when their first goal game down their right hand side and he consistently gave the ball away through bad passes or being caught in possession, not to mentio the lack of tackles as opposition players walked past him. Kay in fact had a good game clearing up after the mess left by Austin and Atkinson until he cost us a goal...oh well, swings and roundabouts

Austin couldn't tackle because he's on the wrong side. He can do a good job at right back, because it's easier for him to tackle with his right foot. As for Atkinson making mistakes... I didn't think he was that bad.

    pro footballers

should be able to kick with both feet, tackle on either side - no excuses! WHat do they do in training? I don't but this wrong side of pitch business. I can kick with both feet to a good standard - and I'm a girl. There really is no excuse! I could ecuse players playing out of position eg midfield instead of defence etc as it's a different job, but any pro footballer who can't kick or tackle on bothe sides wouldn't even get in my squad. It's basic.

And it took a member of the fair sex to say it. You are so right!
