    Urrrrgh.... I winced. All around (and Macken were saying it was innocent). I heard the guy yelp!
    Horrible.
    That aside I thought Macken was ok.

    Thanks fired, happened straight in front of me and some said he took a dive

    to me it was late and he could have broken the lads ankle.... could have been a straight red with a different ref

    He kicked the ball. May well have kicked the man after, but I'm 100% certain he kicked the ball.

    He did it with intent. Later in the game he was chasing their midfield and if he had been quicker he would have been off.

    True but with a different ref he would have been given a foul just before

    Their guy clattered into him and he retaliated.

    Macken got no protection from the ref all game

    Not to excuse the tackle

    But Macken was being held just prior to that and should have got a free kick, the problem is that refs let obvious fouls go which then leads to frustration by the player who was fouled. It happened 2 or 3 times today.
