I thought our ref was bad today, but Styles always has to be the centre of attention. Has he got absolutely zero common sense? I'd hate to live with him. Bet his missus gets in trouble for everything.
About 14 fouls in the game and somehow he managed to send off 2 Villa players. Shithead of the highest calibre.

ManUre's own personal ref They've never lost with him in charge.
A cynic might think there was summat funny about that... (chinny)

RE: ManUre's own personal ref Man U get favours from 90% of refs don't they? That's why it makes my blood boil to hear Fergie and/or their fans moan when the odd decision does actually go against them. They should get in the real world and get the shitty decisions we endure week in week out.
Do you mean the 2 bookable offences that led to the first sending off, or the goalie going in feet first to bring down a player for the 2nd? Can't argue against those decisions.
You really must hate me ES. Every time I post opinion you always side for whoever i'm criticising. Rob Styles is a lovely person. Just because you think he did a good job doesn't mean to say I have to agree. I bet thaz a reight laugh at parties. Why was there the need to send Carson off? A yellow card and the penalty, against 10 men, when 3-1 up, looking at 4-1 would have been enough punishment. Zero common sense. I think the FA would love to have you as a referee. Send them your CV of siding with referees on this board, they'll be creaming.
Sorry, I was under the impression this was a forum where people discuss things, hence if I disagree I post opinion. I think you'll find I don't side with refs, however those decisions were the right decisions, clear goal scoring opportunity when the goalie brings down a player is a straight red card, even Carson didn't protest, he knew straight away he was walking - he went in with his feet as well which is certain to get a goalie sent off. I don't get this "well they were already down to 10 men", "it was 3-1" arguments - the rule is the rule, people complain about a lack of consistency but then in the same breath say "well he'd already been booked" - if it's a bookable offence then just that, regardless of whether they had been booked previously, if it's a red card offence then the scoreline doesn't come into it.
what a load of b0ll0cks! villa were absolutely toilet and the 4 goals had nowt to do with refereeing decisions. the 2 sendings off were nailed on. how come you're not commenting on the merseyside derby? now there's a bad day at the office for a referee!
Nobody would complain if referees used common sense. I'm not going to get into an argument - if you think what he did was fine then so be it. I simply disagree.
I didn't comment on the merseyside derby because I had just watched the Villa game and not the merseyside derby. From what I did see of the merseyside derby, the referee in that game didn't do too much different to Rob Styles. Then again I didn't see it all.
so you still fail to comment on the defensive frailties of villa being the home sides downfall. reo coker deserved to go for being so late when already being on a yellow. penalty was a stone waller. carson deserved to go for lunging feet first. kuyt should have gone for the 2 footed lunge, gerrard penalty was iffy, lescott should have had a stonewall pen in the last minute.
after having read the rest of the thread... I would say that you're aged between 15 and 23 and all you have known is a man utd dominated english premiership. your issues are not with rob styles or any other referees but are down to your pure jealousy of Manchester United. your disagreement of eaststanders comments show your footballing immaturity and the inability to see that the right decisions were made. the score or how many players are left on the pitch should have no bearing on a referees decision when an incident occurs in the same vein as carsons challenge on Tevez. your reply will no doubt further show that you hate utd more than you support Barnsley.
The Gerrard incident - I thought it was a penalty and a sending off, however the issue was that the ref was issuing a yellow card and appeared to change his mind after Gerrard protested.
have i touched a nerve? and as for moron - you're the one named napoleon dynamite. ho-ho-ho-ho. over.
