    Said it then, and since.

Including that game, the record is P7 W2 D2 L3

Four of the seven at home, won 0, drew 2 lost 2.

Wins away at the now relegated Carlisle and Burton, who are also sitting in the relegation zone.

Losses to Charlton, Cambridge and Lincoln. Charlton and Cambridge being bottom half dross, Lincoln may still make the playoffs but we are still above them in the table - they turned us over 5-1.

We are sleep walking to the end of the season. We will likely still make the playoffs, as decent as Lincoln are you’d not fancy them to gain six points on us with only four to play for them - unless we don’t get any more wins at all.

That said I’d not be that shocked if we finished 7th, we won’t finish higher than 5th I don’t think - and for at least four teams to finish above us in this league this season - I maintain it’s the weakest I’ve seen at this level - is disgraceful really.

Whether we stay down or fluke a promotion, we will yet again reset from zero in the close season with not an ounce of continuity or building a team.

    Every season.

Its a bit of a trek at my age and I'm weighing up ST renewal versus golf club membership. Just don't feel I can commit anymore; losing connection.

I said a while ago that we were heavily reliant on the form of Cole and Roberts, and a dip in form for either would see a dip in results. Sadly, we've had a dip in form from both at the same time. Cole is due a spell on the sidelines in my opinion, and whilst from the commentary today, it doesn't sound like Cosgrove imposed himself on the game much, he's surely done enough in recent weeks to be starting alongside McAtee.

It’s the business end of the season, and over the last 6 games we are 17th in the form table.

In those 6 games we’ve played three teams in the relegation zone, two more in the bottom half, and the only top half team we’ve played in those six games beat us 5-1 at Oakwell.

We’ve played only one team in the top half of the table - and yet only seven teams are below us in that form table - we played four of them.

Absolute bilge, we’ve been pretty crap all season but had a goalscorer and goalkeeper in form to get us results - something which we now lack - but the last half dozen games have been atrocious. One half at burton was ok.

I think the second half of the Bolton did kill us but more for Pines getting injured than anything else.

I can’t remember a set of centre backs as weak.

Top end league one attack, midfield & keeper. Conference centre backs.

I don’t understand how we’ve gone from been able to recruit really well at centre back, recruiting loads of tall, quick & most importantly good defenders to a set of barely 6 foot bang average ones who can’t run.
